Mailer Sketch

Working on sketches for a trifold mailer. I want to do a big pile of folks inside, type on outside back, little decorative spot for addressing. But I keep changing the plan for the inside fold. Text? Blank? Garg. We'll see if I ever get it done. Things are a bit hectic now.

Illustration Friday: Dusty

Housekeeping!

What fun it would be to have a canister vacuum.

As an aside...stepping away from this, I can't put my finger on why...but does something about this remind anybody of Rugrats?

Just Stay Out of It

I'm not sure whether it's prudent to say why or for whom I painted this yet, but rest assured it was for a good reason. Yessss!

I said I was going to try and get some more sketches up on here. And up in my life in general. Here are a few spreads I scribbled all over for a couple of days last week. And since I liked adding my soundtrack on that last one...here's it for this one.

Cold Blooded!

I had a really tough time on this painting, I don't know why. But in the end, I'm really into it. I want to draw more fish.

Dance Party

I don't know what it is about this one, but it comes off very Babar to me...I don't know how that happened.

Porcupine

I can't say I've ever drawn a porcupine before. But this one might just turn out to be my favorite of the book.

More than a year later...

So the spring before last my words on wheels illustration to go with a poem about amnesia was chosen by the MTA folks. At the time I was told it would be put up inside the bus...I don't think I was aware it would ever be wrapped AROUND the bus. Folks kept telling me they'd seen it and I was jealous. I asked everybody to take a photo. Elyza, who is my homegirl fo' life, finally chased down a bus and got this shot with her cell. yea that's right. It's hard to see in this photo, but if you look closely, you can see MY ART AROUND A BUS. I was so psyched to have this picture, much love to Elyza :)

To see the original piece check it OVA HURR.
